10 Steps to make new Friends
A really common social issue that people are not sure how to make new friends. There are a few reasons why they are in this situation:
- Your friends moved away and your clique split.
- You moved away and you don't know anyone at your new location.
- You have been in a relationship and are not as close to your friends as you were before.
- Something split your connection and your don't see each other that much.
Let's start:
The following steps seem to be pretty easy, but one or more steps are often the reason why people struggle in this situation.
1. Finding potential friends
Now you have to find some friends you might prefer to be friends with.
- Someone who have similar interests with you.
- People which are friendly and you have fun with.
- A person which you wave worked/met/... in the past.
- An old friend you lost contact with but remember as a person to have fun with.
- ...why not a cousin you get along with.
If this don't work for you, you have to get new people to know.
- Being in a situation where lots of potential friends are around, and you naturally have to get to know them through your day-to-day interactions. Work and school are the two big ones.
- Meeting one or two good people and then getting to know all their friends. If you hang out with fifteen people, you shouldn't have to have met them all individually.
- Being into hobbies or communities where you'll naturally meet a lot of people, ones you already have something common with and a built-in activity/conversation opportunity to do with them.
